A balanced diet

"Hey, my son, and be wise, and direct your heart in the way. Do not be with the drinkers of wine or meat-eaters, for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags "(Proverbs 23:19-21 ).

" To know what are the best foods, we must study the original plan of God for the power of men. [...] The grains, fruits, nuts, nuts, and vegetables prepared [...] as simple and natural as possible is the most healthful and nutritious. They impart a strength, strength and intellectual vigor that can not be obtained from a diet more complex and challenging "(MC 227, 228).

If someone is a vegetarian, this does not automatically mean having a healthy diet, or if someone eats a little meat does not automatically clean is polluting the temple of his body. Other factors are also important in a good diet.
One can be vegetarian and at the same time, be eating too much fat, too much salt or too much sugar, and this can lead to serious health problems such as diabetes, heart attack, stroke and cancer.

Or you could be consuming too much food. You can also follow a strict vegetarian diet, however, overeating, weight might overdo it, with very negative consequences.

In the diet, as in all things, temperance is important. Too much, even good food can be harmful to your health. The idea is to eat a variety of healthy foods, sufficient to meet all demands for nutrition, not overeating, depleting the digestive system. To maintain health, the key is balance.
